First of all you'll probably notice there should be a forum better suited to my seat Leon but i just didn't get any replies or they werent helpful and this place seems a lot more friendly!

So I've got a 1.9 seat Leon that I've recently got remapped to 141 brake and now I just want more. Our mechanic mentioned a hybrid turbo, which was the first I've heard of them lol. Has anyone any experience of them at all or even in a 1.9 engine? What would be a recommended power without having to change a clutch (it will be done later) and any idea of prices

A few more details such as age, what type of 1.9 would be useful.

It's a 2008 105 1.9

The guys on the Octy 2 forum may know something then. That's why knowing the engine tune or code is important; there are at least 5 different engine codes that are "1.9TDi".

Can't find anything specific on those forums so though it would be simpler starting a new one

Hybrid turbo is as its name suggests is a standard turbo that is modified with up rated parts or parts from another turbo. Plenty of options out there. AET, Turbo Dynamics, Turbo Technics etc will all be able to exchange the turbo. Be around £1000 plus the remap. Exhausts are available as are uprated intercoolers, list goes on and on.

I rang torquetronix in Northern Ireland and was speaking to the main man and he said that if I bought the pd130/150 turbo and got it to them they'd send it over to England get it done for just over £500. They'll do a custom map for her, remove the cat (maybe I'll get a straight pipe for the sound) and fit the turbo which should put her up to around 185 brake. Torquetronix will cost £1000+vat and then the turbo which all in will come up to about £1350
