I know there are several 280-related threads already, but I thought it might be interesting to get an easier handle on how many users of this forum either already have one or have placed a firm order. Maybe leave other discussion to the other threads.

 

One thing is clear already: Skoda is selling far more than the zero widely supposed upon launch! (Wouldn't it be nice to know what multiple of forum-user owners might give a true total figure? Anyway…)

if you want petrol and 4x4 there is no alternative so why would anyone think they would sell zero?

if they had sold the 220 with 4x4 I think I may have gone for this, but then again!

If Skoda thought they'd sell zero, they wouldn't have introduced it to the UK. I wonder if any RPUs might consider it? Ideal motorway patrol car if you ask me. 

 

Besides, they did actually sell some 3.6 Superbs in the UK, so it was a foregone that the 280 would sell in respectable numbers. 

 

If it wasn't for my annual mileage (+25,000) I would have chosen the 280 in a heartbeat.

Number 9 here - order placed 23 December; hoping for delivery by April.

The number I was given at the UK launch, it was expected in year 1 to be 10-12 units. I know we're way past that

I remember my dealer at Tunbridge Wells telling me that they had just sold another 280 when I picked mine up at the beginning of December.

Spoke too soon - was informed by dealer this morning that car has been allocated to build week 24, i.e. mid-June! He said that order dates are creeping forward, so it may be earlier than that, but somewhat disappointing nonetheless.

Blimey, sorry to hear that.....at this rate I might get mine in time for 66 Reg!!!

At least at BW24 it will be the 2017 version which begins production on BW22!

Also hopefully by that time all of the "shortages" will have been resolved!

In the week 22 factory is beginning to have 10 weeks shut off... as far i read my order tracking information.
