Texts, Amundsen II & Windows Phone

Featured Replies

Can anyone else confirm that you don't get text handling on the Amundsen II if you've got a Windows phone? The handbook is showing five buttons across the bottom of the main screen, but I'm only seeing four - there's no access to texts or text set up anywhere.

I have an iPhone 6 and cannot access texts either.

Manual says press the phone button 3 times. First press brings up phone functions, second and third presses do nothing.

Good idea Fred.

Although I have a Windows phone (lumia 640), I only have the latest Bolero h/ unit,

But .....

Press "phone" button on unit & Text handling works fine, "text" symbol on middle button of the 5 at the bottom of the screen, press it and text messages are imported from the phone and a list of menu items ( new text, text message headers etc.) appears.

As far as I know, when I paired the phone I did'nt set anything apecial up.

As I say, I know I'm talking bolero here but I can't seen the Amundsen Being fundamentally different.

Just spotted in "bluetooth guide" pinned at top that Apple phones don't support rSap functionality which is needed for texts. That's why iphones don't work.

Can I suggest you check if your model of Windows phone supports it.

Also, is there anything here that may help .....
