Best wiper blades?

Featured Replies

Definitely replacing my rear wiper blade asap and was wondering if I'm best to go an official Skodw dealer or somewhere else?

If I go to the official dealer, what kind of blades will I end up with, same as what came out the factory? And what make would've been on the car when it was manufactured?

Bosch every time, ebay usually

I just replaced the rear wiper on my wife's Toyota with a Bosch and I'm not all that impressed.

I've tried the rest, I've tried to save a few ££'s but every single time - Bosch is the only way to go.

Bosch here too.

I always buy Valeo from wiperblades.co.uk. Best performance by far.

I have Bosch on my car (bought it with them) and I certainly wouldn't have them over Valeo.

Wiperblades.co.uk is usually the best place for wipers. Although I just bought some valeo ones from my local motor factors for cheaper than Wiperblades.co.uk.

Just got Bosch. Can't skimp on wipers.

Have used Bosch for a number of years on my cars, always been impressed with their quality and performance.

My sister's Bosch blades fell apart in less then a year, wonder if they have been slacking off in quality the department and just hoping that people will buy on the quality of the same instead....

Just the opposite for me, bud.

I put Valeo's on the Audi and they are not as good as the Bosch ones that I put on the Octavia.

Just a smoother wipe without any squeaks, and the Audi's screen is in a lot better condition than the Skoda's is.

Previous owner of the Octavia never replaced the wipers, and it has swipe marks / scratches.

Valeo are oe on alot of cars. My old car (Renault megane) had valeo wiper arms, I assume that it would have had valeo blades as standard.

I have no idea what was on my Octavia before but the Valeo Silencio X.TRM Flat are a vast improvement.

Like the tyre debate then!

Another vote for Bosch here, Bosch manufacture the OEM Skoda blades, or at least they used to.

I tried Valeo once but they squeaked.

Bosch here too. Don't skimp on wiper blades. Remember it's these that help you see in the rain

I have driven about 60 miles in the rain before, without using my wipers at all. It was on the motorway.

Had a brand new company van - Merc Vito, so obviously a brand new screen.

Tried Rain X and it was that good I did not need to use the wipers. Has to be a good speed though and a vgc screen. And thorough with the rain X application.

The vision was better than when using wipers.

Yes. I only like the round ones myself. :giggle: .

Bosch every time - BUT beware where you buy from as many branded spares including brake pads, wipers, bulbs etc sold over the internet or at markets are not the genuine part but cheap rip off copies...........

Likewise.  The Bosch wiper I purchased for the rear screen of my Octavia vRS lasted less than 6 months before it fell apart.  Probably managed less than 100 sweeps before its demise.  The original item lasted for 2-1/2 years.

Purchased from reputable sellers??????????

Everything gets faked nowadays. Head & Shoulders shampoo was found to be fake in one of the discount stores. B & M.

Disclaimer - other shampoos are available as are other discount stores, Lol.

Best wipers from Skoda dealer, don't buy Bosch or other brand please.

If you get discount from your Skoda partsman it would cost you £25, they last at list 2 years, they soft so no noise when clean the screen.

Most of Skoda packaged wiper blades are manufactured by Bosch.
