My new quartz grey mk III VRS has been built and is sitting at the docks in Germany awaiting a ship.

The wait is now killing me. Really want the car and get out in it. Ordered on 6th Jan, so approximately 12-13 week turn around from ordering.

Hope it gets here early and will post some pics when it arrives.

I know the feeling. Mine is on a lorry from the UK port to the dealer currently. I'm busting to get in it!

Meh, I waited from day one since 2013 to afford mine last summer. Imagine my pain and waiting and saving money. It was horror!

Had my (work) VRS over a year - but having seen the quartz grey, I want it in this colour now!

Mine is Quartz Grey too but purely by chance. I could either have that or Moon White if I wanted a car that's already built.

My quatz grey vrs is also on the docks in Germany. Dealer said 2 weeks maybe 3. Like a kid at Christmas..

Mine took 13 days to get from the UK port to the dealer !

It's arrived this afternoon.

Just out of interest why is it awful on fuel? 

 

We have a 220 vrs and one of the plus points for it was the reasonable fuel economy you can get from it.

 

Fingers crossed it gets better as the engine loosens up !

If I'm steady I can see 30mpg, lowest I've had is 11mpg

All things considering 30mpg isn't that bad if I can average that I'll be happy, that's if I keep track I usually just drive till it needs filling then fill it.

Mine's arriving at the dealer tomorrow. I should get it Tuesday or Wednesday.

Just joined the forum today, been lurking for a while. I'm more than likely going to be in the exact same shoes as you now haha.

 

Just ordered my Octavia vRS 2.0 TDI in quartz grey today. So excited!

Quartz grey looks v similar to the Carbon Grey special metallic colour available on the GTI/D/E.

Waiting for a new car is the pits....I was lucky when I ordered my GTD....I had one on loan for a three months until mine arrived :-)
