Suspension Rattle

Featured Replies

Does anyone's suspension rattle and knock over bumps.

Only started doing it this week.

Mine is the 1.2 with the rear beam axle.

Car has only done 2800 miles, so might have to go back to the dealer.

Read that it's a bush problem on Superb and Golf and Leon.

Yes, has done for the last few 3000 miles. Sounds like the front on mine. Do a wee search and you'll see a few posts about it.

Probably take it in to the dealer when I've got some free time.

had the knocking sound for a while so i drove to the dealer today to have them look at it.

the knock comes from the shock absorbers and skoda is aware of the problem but it wont be fixed until the factory comes up With decent replacement.

Dont notice it so much now. I had the tyre pressures up at the higher level because I had a full car.

I've reduced them to the normal level now and it doesnt knock very often at all now.

Sounds like its a similar problem to the new Superb with the rattling/knocking suspension, good old VW parts eh?

Typically does it when it's cold for me. I assume on that basis it's more likely to be the bushes?

before they actually tested the car they said it was the bushes but after a test drive and one hour up in the air they concluded With faulty shockers..

the service manager said that some octavia's,superbs and golf mk7 got this problem.  not all cars With the same type of shockers get the knock but they had a few just the last month.

as i understood ,skoda wont just change the shockers cause the problem probably will come come back after a while. the factory need to sort out a replacement that is bulletproof... and that can take some time..

sry for some bad englishhhh..
