I also notice their prices are based on outright purchase, and any finance arrangements will be via another broker, not VWFS so the current dealer finance rates won't apply.

Internet discount price for Fabia Monte Carlo estate 1.2tsi with no extras seems to be about £13711 at ukcardiscount . Walking in off the street I wouldn't pay more than that plus extras.

I said I would be amazed if you could walk into a dealers as you said and expect them to match the offer.

The internet prices are good yeh if you are a cash buyer and you can trust the site.

They wouldn't be any good for the OP and over a 42 month PCP I personally would have ended up paying a lot more using those sites than I did taking finance at 0% with my dealer.

Bought a brand new Fabia 5 door SE with the 110 engine a few weeks ago it was a headache checking prices and deals. I eventually got what I think was a fair deal, the car and metallic paint that I wanted was stock and the young salesman gave the game away by saying they needed to shift it within two weeks or they would have to buy it in and use it as a demo wiping a few thousand of the resale value  so I walked away with a zero % HP deal for the sum of £12995. More luck than judgement to be honest.  Loving the car btw. My first Skoda.
