Yeti Taxi

Featured Replies

Saw a Yeti taxi in Aberystwyth today! It looked most odd in the line up of your usual taxi type cars. I wouldn't thought it was an ideal taxi type vehicle but then again a lot of Skodas are used.

Several here in western Finistere! - but they also double as walking wounded ambulances!

Haven't seen any Yeti taxis, plenty of Octavias which is the logical choice along with the Superb.

There's one that drives around South Lanarkshire/Glasgow.

Agree my Yeti is a Dads Taxi.

Mines a mums taxi but I don't like to advertise my gender, I consider myself to be sufficiently funny / cynical to cover both. Mon Frere .

bit of a revival but today I saw two Skoda Yeti's with taxi plates on registered to Uttlesford District Council.

One white one on the M27 and a grey one in Hedge End. Both miles away from home in Essex.

Most Taxi drivers know a good deal when it's presented to them. And the current deals take some beating.

Interesting set of pics!  There was a topic here two or three years ago with some good ones but I hadn't seen the Dog Unit or the Follow Me liveries before.

Yeti with a hackney carriage plate turned up recently a couple of hundred yards down the road from where I live in Havant in Hampshire. As it always seems to be parked in the same spot I guess the driver works nights - not sure if that affected his/her car choice. When you think how many elderly or disabled people use taxis regularly the high seating probably makes them a good choice for the work and when I was collecting mine a few years back a salesman was showing someone that his wheelchair would easily go in the back, ticking another box.

There really should have been a special thread: 'The Yeti in Emergency Service and other Special Liveries', so no apologies fo resurrecting this one simply because it seems to have the most pics.  Here's a new one showing Devon & Cornwall Police on guard in this morning's overnight snow.
