Screen washer

Featured Replies

I've noticed when i use the front washer i get the rear washer dribbling as well,  it happens at slow/no speed as well so its not running over the roof.

My rear washer would leak slightly when parked up, or during the first mile or two driving (front washers not being used). I assumed a faulty non-return valve somewhere and learnt to live with it. It hasn't done it for some time, come to think of it!

I've not seen that issue.

Do you have quite a delay on your front washers between when you pull the stalk and when the washer fluid actually comes out? On my old car it was near instant, but the citigo seems to need to prime the line or something every time.

There is a delay, also on my Yeti, resulting in the first couple wipes on a dry screen.

I had an old nissan, took a few seconds to 'prime' the rear washer, i ended up buying a new non return value to fix it, £20 for a tiny bit of plastic.

Another trait of the Citigo, my rear washer used to always dribble, usually if I booted it, or if was recently used, just thought it was down to the weather, heat expanding the pipe etc., solved the problem by removing the rear wiper and jamming a screw into the rear washer pipe :D

Ours does this.... Only with the front washers though..... A second or so delay till the water squirts out.

When using the rear washer the water comes out instantly though!!!!!!!

There's a non return valve on the front washer pipes, they quite often fail. Part number 5P0955481
