Leather Noise

This is for the dashboard so plastic rather than leather. It was just when everything "dry" was marketed as being for bike chains I wondered what the difference was. I've seen the mess WD40 can make of a dirty bike chain so hoped the bike lubes would be ok but don't want to mess up the dashboard of a new car!

They are "dry" in the sense they are not greasy so don't pick-up the dirt that typically gets stuck on chains.

Personally I'd try some silicone furniture polish if you cannot get an internal PTFE spray, though I think Halfords do one.

Try this ptfe spary. I have found it useful for lots of things including caravan window stays and awning rails. It is dry and does not stain, although does leave a fine white residue that can be wiped of. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Effective-GT85-Spray-Lube-PTFE-400-ml-For-Gear-Transmissions-Chains-Care/222072346170?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D35308%26meid%3D7ada3383358b4125b5bf8655f5193b73%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D252086756959

I think I got fine from Aldi/Lidl.
