Amundsen - Skoda Surround / Virtual Subwoofer option missing ??

Just setting up the sound, (no Canton) and noticed the Skoda Virtual Sub woofer and Surround options are missing from my S3.

###################

ŠKODA Surround
 - Switching the surround sound

Virtual Subwoofer
- Switching the virtual sub woofer

###################

Seems strange why these options are missing on my S3 unit when the manual is mentions this for the S3, Rapid etc..

I also have a MY16 (65 plate - Delivered Feb 2016 Skoda Rapid, SE Sport Spaceback which has the same Amundsen unit of which has these options...

What's more strange is that they both seem to have the same firmware versions installed...

The Menu on the SB.

SB :-

S3 :-

Is this missing from all S3's ?

All the setting does for the Virtual subwoofer is cranks the bass up a bit  (using a predefined preset) , so no loss there, not sure how the Skoda surround options works as yet.

Thanks

Nudge.... :)

Mine's the same, I wish the manuals would distinguish between standard and optional functions and highlight vehicle specific features. The sound quality isn't as good as in my previous car which had a Bose system but it's good enough after tweaking the bass/mid/treble settings (more bass mainly).

By way of compensation, I unexpectedly have an 'automatic supplementary heater' option in the ventilation system settings. It seems to work, judging by the rapid demist it achieved this morning.

I also have that option of 'automatic supplementary heater' - I just assumed it was a electric top up heater for when the engine temp is cold. (like a lot of the other VAG's have)

The virtual sound settings are really just "prefix" mid / treble and bass settings.   I have found the sound system in the car fit for purpose, that's coming from bose, Logic and Volvo High performance systems after a bit of tweaking.

Just funny comparing between the card they have the same advertised versions of firmaware, but have different options enabled/disabled.

You need the Canton sound system to fully activate the settings for the sub and surround, they have their own settings 1-8 I think. With the extra mid range speakers in the doors, speaker in the dash and sub in the boot it really opens up the sound. I've found upping the bass but lowering the sub bass gives the best sound for everybody in the car still punchy and deep but without being overpowering for rear passengers. The surround sound I have on max and it really brings out the separation which still surprises me sometimes, it does this without creating that hole in the middle sound you sometimes get with surround.

As above.. Neither car has canton.

The 2 menus in question are present in one and not the other.

The canton systems have a lot more set up as you say.
