Assistance required for new VRS owner

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I've searched the site for the info and I have found a number of options. Opinion is that a RARB fitted to a VRS would really improve its handling and is a good improvement for the money.

I have found these two and the Whiteline RARB seems to get good reviews by folk on here (http://www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/products/whiteline-anti-roll-bars-for-vw-golf-mk4-seat-leon-mk1-audi-a3-skoda-octavia.html) but I have also found this Revo version (http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/anti-roll-bars/car/skoda/octavia-vrs-hatch-13-on-5e-mqb/revo-technik-rear-anti-roll-bar).

AwesomeGTI seems to be very expensive compared to these two.

The question is, are the two good enough to improve handling on a VRS TDI? Which one is better/recommended?

Alternatively, is there somewhere else I should be looking?

TIA for any advice and help.

Cheers

Seb

That one on your dark side link is for a mk1 and I assume if you have at did vrs you have a mk2? Either way I'd go white line as they're adjustable three ways for altering stiffness even further and you may also want to consider an anti lift kit too to help stop wheel hop?

Thank you.

Looks like Whiteline gets the best reviews/rating.

I'm going to be picking up a new Mk3 on friday and will get used to it first before doing anything. Considering making it handle better before looking at anything else beyond that.

Cheers

No worries dude. If you feel that she under steers a bit too much after you've got used to her then rarb should help to sure that up!

Thanks @dc14.

Not after doing much to modify it but a friend of mine fancies doing some track days when he gets a Fiesta ST (works 2 miles from home and doesn't need a big car rather than being a youngster!).

Just considering he RARB as the Octavia is a bigger car and concensus is this would help.
