Sunroof warning

Featured Replies

The Australian Consumer Commission has gone out with a national recall of the 2016 Superb Estate (Combi, Wagon) with sunroof.

There is a thread here about the tailgate possible risks, well the sunroof seams to be a problem that at least in Australia has called for a fix.

Problem seems to be present in the Passat also http://behindthewheel.com.au/skoda-superb-sunroof-recall-launched/

I just checked my VIN on http://master.skoda-auto.com/mini-apps/recall-actions and it is listed as having recall actions.

Phoned local dealer who confirmed two actions. One was the fuse box we already know about and also the sunroof check as per above post. Service said for both items not all cars are affected but I have arranged to pop my car in to have it checked.

I have just checked my VIN and it says I have an outstanding recall so I assume it is the sunroof as it was up to date last week when the car was in for some other work. Does anyone know what is involved and how long it takes?

Do wonder if we will hear from S.U.K. or will it be " silence is golden "-- again !

Dealer told me it is some sort of software update to control modules and takes less than 1 hour.

I got a recall for the sunroof yesterday. The letter states the fix is to disable closing function from the key, worktime approx. 30 min.

Thats a bit rubbish, I like the feature where the sunroof and windows close with the key :(
