Well folks, after quite a few months of research I've finally put in an order for a Superb.

I've opted for the L&K estate 2.0 TDi (190ps) DSG 4x4 with a 'few' options...

Metallic Silver

BLACK leather interior

Headlight assist (smart light assist)

Heated windscreen washers

Ventilated front seats

DSG paddles

Passenger seat adjuster from rear

Rear door airbags

Crew protection

Rear door pull up blinds

Spare wheel

Tow bar

19" Phoenix anthracite alloys

I'm in for a long wait now, but hopefully it will be more than worth it!!!!!!

Any feedback on this model (or similar) will be very welcome.

Very nice spec mate, you'll definitely love it! The wait will come and go soon enough, don't worry. The bit between 'sitting at Emden waiting for a boat' and 'at the dealership' seems to be the worst as far as the subjective feeling of time passage goes. One thing though... You seem to have ordered an engine with the wrong fuel. :p Just kidding, enjoy!

I have a 1750kg twin axle caravan so the extra torque of the oil burner will be useful.

LOL I was only winding you up mate, but to be fair I don't think anything with 350Nm torque and an extra 90 horses would struggle to tow anything. Your fuel consumption may end up in single digits with a caravan attached, however.

Great spec - not much more you could add to that!  More than enough for towing there.  Hopefully the wait won't be too painful.

Just a small point Steve..did I read somewhere on here that Smart Light Assist and Headlight Assist are different and SLA is the way to go.

My mistake, it's 'Smart Light Assist' I've added... Headlight assist comes as standard.

Excellent choice. I have a 190 L&K DSG 4x4 hatch. I also have the Phoenix anthracite 19"s. Not quite as many options as you though!

Should be an absolute cracker of a car.

The Superb will replace my 2006 Kia Sorento 2.5 crdi - pulls lovely, if a little underpowered.

The wait is long but well worth it. Keep following and take part in the treads here on Briskoda and you should enjoy the wait. Nice spec
