Is thi a lacquered red and if so what can be done when the red starts to fade? I tried a wee bit of tcut to see if it would come up but it didn't make the slightest difference!

 

It's not really bad but would rather do something now before it get any worse.

Theres nothing you can do bar a respray.  Its faded underneath the lacquer.  Mines the same.

In myexperience Rally Red isn't lacquered.  Our Fabia was Rally Red and started to look a bit jaded - Autoglym SRP brought it up nicely again...

It is lacquered (on the Octavia), in fact the lacquer on mine is starting to peel also.

Must be different on the Fabia then as there was definitely red coming off on the polishing pad
