Morons!

Featured Replies

This morning at around 8.30, my daughter, who is an attractive blonde 25 yr old was driving to work along the motorway when a white van pulls alongside and throws a large carton of fluid (she doesn't know what) at the car.

It hit the windscreen with a loud bang and obviously splattered all over it, she had to quickly was/wipe. It gave her a really big shock, especially on a bad morning with drizzle and poor driving conditions. All this at about 65mph.

The van then dives off down a slip road before she can react to get numbers etc.

Fortunately no damage, no accidents but one rather shook up young woman.

Just had to get it off my chest, I am soooo angry:mad:

bloody hell, hope shes ok

Just a thought, why did we need to know she is attractive?

I agree though, idiots and brainless!

there are some right T*4TS on the road unfortunately, i'm glad this didnt cause her to have an accident and at least there is no damage to her or the car.

i did think you were going to say the occupants of the van were geering at her or something though when you said she was attractive...

guess his pointing it out as blokes in vans etc... pull up to cars with attractive women in to gain attention.

Did she contact the police? maybe if they have cameras set up in the area on the motorway they may have a video of it happening where they can locate the offending drivers vehicle from?

Yeah, the point about her being attractive and blonde was that it was perhaps what triggered the 'attack'. No other reason.

Idiots. Not exactly the best way to chat up an attractive girl.Don't understand how that would work.

Glad she is ok

Missed the point, got it now.

My life. Some people should be shot.

Maybe buy her a vRS and teach her some defensive moves/fit a bazooka.

Glad to hear shes ok! the outcome could have been much much worse :(

There are so many pr1cks around now its untrue really makes me mad when i read stuff like this

Any ideas what the fluid was ? I hope it was'nt brake fluid

I know its not as bad, but flying cigarette ends also severely pi55es me off when they end up hitting my car. :grumpy:

This sounds like a much more deliberate attack toward the vehicle/occupant, so a lot more disturbing than a casual inconsiderate toss of litter/fag butt.

Absolute tw@ts. That should surely constitute a very illegal act, not sure technically what, but could so easily have caused an accident and IMO literally is an attack, without any need for quotation marks. Glad she was not hurt, shame they got away.

Oh, and :wrthless:

(Joking of course, just wanted to beat everyone else to it)

Thanks everyone, I am calming down now.

Matt_D, crikey didn't think of that! Brake fluid????????? Surely not?

I just thought it was a drinks carton? She washed and wiped it away. Then been in work until after it was dark.

Probably just a spur of the moment thing without realising what could have happened. That's what I telling myself anyway.

I've managed to catch rubbish thrown out while on my bike that I deposited back through their window at the next set of lights

Nice one. White Van Man nearly ploughed into a bunch if kids on our street the other week when it was icy. The **** decided to floor it and fishtail down the road completely out of control. If I'd've been able to see his plates, I'd've been straight on to the police - there's no excuse!

Yes i know someone else already beat me to it but........:

i resisted the urge all day yesterday to do this ^

My daughter starts driving next year and this is the kind of brain dead stupidity she is going to have to watch out for. It makes me nervous and furious at the same time. What could they be charged with? Is it criminal damage? does the driver have an obligation to keep the passengers under some sort of control? At the very least they could get done for littering although if you look at the verges on any road, particularly at junctions, you can see how much notice is taken of that rule! Hope she is not too affected by it all.

I wonder if other countries have this 'White Van Man' plague? I havn't ever been attacked per se, but as we all have experienced no doubt, they still are extremely dangerous and on more than one occasion have pushed me into a situation where an accident is imminent.

I'm sorry to hear about her daughter. I wouldn't have thought it'd be brake fluid - that'd have to be premeditated. I would expect it'd just be a carton of juice or something.

Causing a danger to other road users , which is an arrestable (serious) offence
