I found this panel blank on the back seat of my car but can't see where it has come from, can anyone identify it?

There is a part number on the back, 5G0 886 296

I remember seeing a thread about this before, iirc its a blanking plate from one of the seats

Drop down the back seat and at the bottom you will see an opening that this clips on to cover the gap

Bloody hell what language do you use in East Anglia!

All joking aside, I can see from the photos where it goes. As both sides are missing I was unable to see where it came from.

The one I took the pics of has a couple of hooks snapped off, I will try to secure it with a bit of evostik to assist holding it in place.

Common problem, certainly on the earlier ones. I've put them back several times. They're just a tidying up the joint type thing. VW group could probably could have saved millions in design & manufacturers cost
