Yeti 3 on Order

Featured Replies

So after much consideration, looking at many new car types, options and test drives, we have decided we’ll go with a third Yeti.

We’ve ordered a L&K 150 DSG in jungle green, with KESSY, spare wheel, fatigue sensor, electric drivers seat, Smartlink, heated washers, rear parking camera, rear mud flaps.  We got a fantastic deal in terms of part exchange and discount, much better in comparison to other quotes.  My local dealership has over three purchases and servicing been excellent.

Our previous front runner was the new Seat Ateca but I could not get out of me head the potential issues with the introduction of a new car.  Still interested in the Seat but by the time we come to replace this new Yeti the Yeti 2 should have hit the streets.  Just waiting for a delivery date………..

Very nice.

I have a petrol L&K so had to pass on the DSG.

I also got KESSY, spare wheel (wouldn't again though) heated washers, electric seat, rear flaps, luggage net system, 12 speaker system and tow bar. I also now have smartlink.

I would have liked a DSG but don't do enough miles to go diesel.

Our current 3 year old 140 TDi L&K DSG has done 36K +.  We do a very mixed bag of journeys but have managed to get 43.6 mpg according to my detailed records.  It will be interesting to see how the 150 TDi compares?

I guess you could always take out the spare and store it if you wanted the space.  I'd have gone for a petrol myself if a suitable power plant with DSG was available.

I was very tempted by the speaker upgrade so would be interested if anyone has compared it with the standard system. I must confess, that unlike in our BMW in which the standard speakers were exceedingly poor (particularly for a £30+ K car) and the first level upgrade at £300 was a no brainer, the standard Yeti 8 speaker system isn't bad.

I like my music but in a car all I ask is that at reasonable listening levels (not too loud) is that it sounds OK and doesn't distort.

I've had BOSE in other cars, which is nice to have, but never played it loud enough to appreciate any improvement in sound quality.

In the Yeti the standard system does me just fine.

Quite agree.  I did a test drive in a CX5 recently, the sound was fine similar to the Yeti until you drove the speakers hard.  Not what I would really want as I always want, for safety, to be able to hear something of the outside world.
