I'm still in love with my Yeti after 50,000 miles since 31st July 2013.

Amazed that the original tyres (Pirelli P Zero Rossos) are only just needing replacing and Maxi-dot shows 39.8 mpg over the last 3000 miles.

Comfortable, fast enough, practical, economical - what's not to like?

Doing more miles than me. Mine rolled over 48K on Friday but is a year older - June '12. Just as happy with it though :)

Ours is just coming up to 50000 since May 2011. Been trouble free so far, so have pretty well decided to keep it for another 50000 / 5 years. Tyres (Dunlop) renewed 12 months ago despite winters on for nearly half the time. In mid May it is having the works with cam belt, water pump etc change, MOT, early Oil / filter change and a thorough check on the brakes/discs which have so far required no attention. All being done by my friendly honest competent independent one man workshop who I am so lucky to have 100 yards up our road in this isolated rural spot.

52000 miles, 36k on p zeros needing replacement. No reliability issues, no warranty issues, comfortable, fast, economical, handles brilliantly, practical!

So good the replacement is on its way - another Yeti of course!

This one is on its way to the daughter so no doubt will give much more sterling service.

Wow! Great mileage from the Pirellis.

1.2 means light over the front end with no diesel issues and no 4WD to drag around.......if you don't need it, why carry it.

You haven't got the 7DSG ECU, cam drive or nr3 lead problems to deal with cos that was only on the earlier ones, I take it.

  • 51000 miles now on mine since Dec 2010. Changed the original tyres at 22k, the replacement Goodyear 4seasons still have a reasonable amount of tread left, so good for maybe 35k. Averaging around 42/44 mpg.

Ours is on 41,000 since March 2014, so racking them up a bit quicker than you.

I'm guessing you drive like a saint! I had to replace all 4 original tyres at 38000 as they were at the legal limits.

I am picking up my new (first) Yeti on Thursday but in spite of reading postings here and elswhere about tyre pressures, I remain somewhat confused.

The so called ECO settings suggest slight decreases in tyre noise and increases in fuel economy, at a cost to tyre wear at the centre due to increased pressures.

 

Has anyone used these higher ECO pressures, rather than the NORMAL ones for typical '2-up and some stuff in the boot' motoring?

Would wet weather braking be affected?
