How to jump start OTHER cars?

Featured Replies

Well today my octavia battery was to low to start the car (for reasons unknown yet) but using our trustworthy and Faithfull focus the octavia was boosted and all is good. No errors or dramas from the sensitive octavia ecu

Maybe skoda don't engineer these safety devices into their electronic systems?

Electronic lesson over.

Like everything these days its a question of cost & complexity versus the risk or likelyhood of a problem occuring.

Saving even €1 on the cost of one car will add up €10m saving for VAG each year.

Adding a statement in the manual for something which has a low probability of occuring rather than adding extra components makes the most business sense..

True. But that is of no concern to me. I needed the car working.

On a cold winterday I jumpstarted my old 2000 Seat Leon TDI which my wife drives now. Positive to positive and my negative to the Leon's chassis.

Piece of cake.
