0% Finance available after ordering

Featured Replies

I ordered an Octavia in March, and it is due for delivery in a few weeks. I accepted the 3.9% Finance offer available at the time. However, Skoda Ireland have now included the Octavia in their 0% Finance offer. Their website states that the car must be ordered between 23rd May and 31st July, and registered before 31st August. That would appear to exclude me. As an aside, the turnaround on my car will be about 12 weeks, so I am not sure if anyone could make the registration deadline. Do you think Skoda will have to, or are likely to, make 0% Finance available to me? I have used the online configurator to verify that the price of my car has not changed.

You can ask, but I guess it would be purely a goodwill type of guesture, it's frustrating but just like buying something in the shops and then seeing it in the sale a week later.

Skoda will have done the 0 % deal to get more business in that period, they already have your business so I can't see much incentive for them.

I doubt they would offer the 0% on orders outside the dates they quote in the offer, but have you contacted them to ask?

Like you it does seem unrealistic with about a 12 week wait from factory order to registering that anyone would qualify. Anyone ordering a car already built on stock would qualify, so maybe they are trying to offload too many that are on stock lists.

Many shops do refunds - so take it back get a refund then buy it again but in the sale. I've done that with no problems, but cars of course are a different matter.

Do your homework first would be my advice as 0% may not be all that it seems.  I was going for 0%, then decided not to.  Seemed to me at the time that the price was front loaded with interest costs  in the purchase price.

Ask your dealer, depending on your holding deposit you might, if worst comes to the worst, be able to cancel, and reorder your car from the build list if they won't change the finance

Ask and you shall receive. Got good news today. I love my dealer.

I had the same thing. Ordered a car at 2.9% then the 0% came back on on the vrs so I chanced it and just asked the dealer if they could switch me over. To my surprise they said yes and even offered me a £500 deposit contribution that they were also doing!
