A lot of maufacterers are suffering from this, its to do with the new water based paints and the primers used, different surface types equal different primers and unfortunately different finish.

Some are better than others - Audi had a very bad problem with it when the A6 came out in '98 - but have got much better since

Dave, That's interesting. I didn't realise other manufacturers were having similar problems. I'd quite like an ST in performance blue but take a look at the finish on the one below. I'd be most upset if mine turned out like that!!

 Yikes that is quite bad, early A6 was nearly as bad. I don't see why such a mainstream manufacterer can't get better results than that!

vRS no ta Focus ST every time

Does your mate have another mate with the Privilege who can be my mate??? :D

It would appear even Skoda are suffering from this - check out the rear bumper especialy on this :

Front bumper doesnt look so bad for some reason

That red colour is flipping ming :thumbdwn: Does not flatter the car at all IMHO

Not sure wether it really is that dark, or if its just crap lighting or something -- if it is this dark then its going to look rubbish

And no NOT the colour - although not my cup of tea :D

We test drove an Orange ST2 before Christmas and loved it but couldn't give it a real try as it's the one that Peter Vosper (major Ford dealer in SW) uses for his TV adverts - and besides we had one of his salesmen in the back seat.

I was keen to buy one but then SWMBO decided that we should move house so I'd decided to try and forget about how good it was - that was until BBC2 tonight when they re-ran JC driving the Focus ASBO around the track.

Now I want one again !!!!!

Clarkson did the oposite for me. After seing it yesterday - I'm not keen.

If Ford do a TD ST with 5 door I might be interested. But there again I don't plan to chuck the Furby VRS until it has a 6 figure mileage.

never had a go in the new one YET, local constabulary has a new one in the batenburg suit. looks nice. goes like stink.

Its actually quite subtle I think.Which is good.

Still be the thieves favourite though.Does one key still open all Fords?

Getting into it is the least of your problems - I hear the Ford immobilisers are a little too effective
