Hi I'm looking to get a Octavia VRs as my new company car and have recived a quote of

Hi there.

Firstly 14,100 is good but I'd bet that some dealers will be able to match that.

On options:

Parking sensors. Get them. The rear view on the Octavia is terrible.

Cruise control. Useful if you do alot of motorway work.

cheers - shall let you know what Dealers say when i go down today :drive1:

Welcome, good luck and happy hunting! :D

Boing Boing, a good choice of car - even though I don't (and wouldn't) own that model! (Read elsewhere for the full story....or follow the day-to-day life of fellow Briskodians chronicled here) I am sure you will have great fun with it if you buy one, and you will be among an ever growing band of enthusiastic owners on this site.

Welcome, Boing-Boing.

The vRS is a nice car, even if it comes in a severely limited range of colours.

By all means go for parking sensors - the vRS people here seem to have difficulty with reverse parking. Personally, I haven't noticed any problem, but then I don't have a huge spoiler blocking my rear view.

Cruise control is an excellent idea (is it available on vRS now? How common! When I bought my Octavia, it was only available on the L&K model).

p.s. Take the above with a pinch of salt - it sounds like you've got a good deal :)

If you cant get one with cruise control and want it we can retro fit it for you.

My best mate has got a Octavia vRS, he got in on staff purchase from Skoda UK, wont tell you how much he paid for it, it will make you sick but sounds like you got alot of motor for the money :)

Hi and Welcome!

Parking sensors are a good option to have; the spoiler doesn't get in the way it's just the slope of the hatch and not knowing where the end of the car is. Can be retro-fitted in the black rubbing strip.

We have our own Briskoda Cruise Control package using genuine VAG/Skoda parts and fitted by our own K, an experienced Skoda engineer.

Price is very competative (I don't think you'll find it cheaper) and a donation comes to Briskoda.

If you want more details feel free to PM me.

Cheers.

Adrian.

Sounds like you got a good deal there, and like everyone says, go for parking sensors and cruise, I did, but I aint got a VR

Like KLB said, common as muck these days, but still a bit exclusive on elegence estates (well I havent seen many) :D:D

Would suggest going to dealers with the offer you had though and see if you can twist their arms a bit

who knows, a VR for 13 grand.....a steal :D :D
