Need Help: Reverse Light Switch Location

Featured Replies

My reverse light is not working. I checked both the bulbs and fuse and both we're OK. I search the internet to find some ways on how to fix it and I stumble on this forum. There is other topic here that says the problem maybe the reverse light switch. I opened the cover on the gear know and I can't find any access on how to get to the switch. I did see the lever that pushes the switch when I turn the knob in reverse.

Please help me how I could access that Reverse light switch. Thanks in advance

I think the switch will be on the gearbox itself then, rather than near the selector in the cabin.

More information will help Octavia owners to help you. Which engine does your car have? Petrol/diesel?

Its Diesel.

I think since I bought it 2 years ago the reverse light is not working anymore. But when I took the car for EU control the problem was brought up and need to be fixed. I was just trying to fix it myself before I turn it over to the Car repair service which here cost much :-)
