I have ordered an Octavia VRS 230 (2 weeks ago) and still waiting on a build date. Does anyone else have any recent similar experience or been waiting for a build date for long time?

I ordered my 230 around the 2nd week of May for a 1st September delivery.  Think week 33 was mentioned but for a 66 plate delivery it may be put back to week 35 or 36

 

I have been promised a 1st Sept Delivery, ( 66 plate )

I tried to place an order for a VRS 230 2 weeks ago through a leasing company.

After going through all the rigmarole and placing the order I was informed the next day that Skoda are having a problem sourcing the 230 engine and have stopped taking orders.

They could not guarantee 1st Sept delivery. Not sure if this was a real problem or the lease company backing out of the deal.

 

I have just plumped for the diesel version again which I am not too unhappy about to be honest. Gone for the Race Blue + Black Design Package Plus so will look a little like the 230 but in the colour I really wanted 

Mmmm,   Intresting, the 230 engine I assume is the same as the 220 Tsi but with a different map. Are Skoda having problem sourcing the 220 engine aslo

Interesting because mine is a Contract Hire via VWFS and I was offered a black TDi DSG with black pack and leather interior today instead plus a big cashback too! . Maybe there is something to what you have just said. I will call them again tomorrow and ask the question.

I ordered a  Skoda Octavia 2.0 TDI CR vRS DSG (race blue, black design plus, canton sound system upgrade) on 26th March.

 

Was advised pretty quickly of a 30th June due date. About 4 weeks ago this was moved forward to the 17th, I received the finance paper work (lease) and sent it all back. 14 day cooling period has now passed. Registration number has also been reserved.

 

Yesterday the due date was moved back to the 30th. Contacted the dealer who said the car is current awaiting shipper from Emdem, Germany.

 

After doing a bit of reading on here, the car transporter boat (EMS Highways Less) goes from Emdem to Grimsby once a week. It left Emdem last night and is due to Grimsby in 4 hours.

 

What's the chances it's on that boat at the moment?
