Before I leave my current job (Jan 20th) I'm trying to make the most of the airfiled.

The big meet idea has been scuppered by the locals complaints over noise so I'm after the following voulenteer.

Fabia VRS owner who is happy to come to RAF Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire (M40 J11) for a drag race against a remapped Octavia.

Now, this will be in my lunch break and there is a chance that Thames Valley Plod will be using the strip for training. That means you may mave to go away and come back another day.

Anyone is welcome, one at a time but be warned if you're travelling from far away that you could go away without actually racing if the Plod are using the strip for training.

I trust your doing a modded versus modded...no point otherwise?

Ive got / will have a standard fabia vRS but it will be less than 500miles so its not up for ragging just yet. Would be nice to attend my first meet if you will allow me .

We need to be careful not to go daft with people coming every day Have to keep the natives (and my boss) happy. Jonny5ive is penciled in to be the first visitor, Gav possible on Saturday then vrs-jonno for the week begining 9th Jan.

Yeah i know, its only 75miles from my house to oxford which isn't _that_ far. I dont intend to race it anywho, just watch and take my car out for a drive really. It will still be new so i'll still be in the 'cant drive it enough' thing.

Is the gliding club still open at this time of year, I could be persuaded to do a combined trip, long way to come if we couldn't have a spin that day.

Bicester gliding club is still open, yes.

They have recently made a deal where you can land on "our" airfield if you get in the poo.

I'll give them a bell and see if there flying midweek, if so I may pop down next week to watch proper vRs's in action.
