People thinking the pads are damaged because of it.

I'm praying I'm one of them...

Pop a quick picture up if you can, might be able to tell.

Looking at it on that picture - it looks very much like your and Techie's 'angled' idea, I will take a shot of it tomorrow once they're out and be able to tell for certain what is what. I'm hoping it is my stupid mistake!

Looks like it's just the chamfered part of the pad to me.

I sent the above pic to my mechanic, he took one look at it and thought the same as you lot.

This morning he just said: "you're a d1c k head at times" haha!

Red stuff pads fitted and Class 6 Focus RS brake fluid about to go in regardless.
