What mods/accessories for vRS?

Featured Replies

Just ordered a vRS in Quartz Grey. Build week middle of August. Any advice on what accessories and/or mods to go for? Want to get some bits ready for when it arrives. Options chosen from factory - Black sports pack, heated seats, Maxi dot display and spare wheel.

Would love some suggestions!

Is it a 230?

No went for the 220.

Is it a 230?

230 don't come in quartz grey. Meteor grey, red, white or black.

If you like your music, then I'd recommend the Canton. The options I've been most pleased with are that, the electric boot and electric folding mirrors.

If they don't come in Meteor Grey how come I've ordered a Meteor Grey one, Build week 31, 01 Sept delivery ( 66 plate )

Unless you mean they only come in  Meteor grey, red, white or black.

I wanted White but was told they don't come in white,        Strange

Think he means they don't come in Quartz grey, then has stated the available colours after the full stop.

Ditto, all above.

Plus we love our electric heated seats. The memory function for the drivers seat and mirrors is terrific as both my wife and I love driving the car.

Thanks for the advice this far. Unfortunately the order has been placed so I can't add options now. However I'm talking here about after factory options/accessories.

The rubber boot mat is one I'm toying with to stop things slipping about when I may or may not go round bends a little fast....!

Check out the superskoda website for the extras though rather than buying from the dealer - will save you loads! Plus you can get get it delivered ready for when you pick up the car!

They've always come in white albeit moon white instead of solid white

Rubber Boot and Floor mats are essential for me.

I personally love the black emblem badges from Superskoda.

I really want the rear valance that several people have.

Not everyone's taste, but i've tinted both my front fogs, and rear reflector, and will soon go gloss back on the tail pipe trims.

i'm toying with the same and rubber mats ready for winte* sorry can't bring myself to say that just yet

Rear VRS door seals from Superskoda. I have the rubber matts in the car / boot too - kids play football so they are in all year round - quick jet wash and back to black in no time!

Dash cam, led interior lights, led rear number plate bulbs, pressed metal plates / plate surrounds.

No wonder my wife gets cross when another parcel turns up in the post.

I had the doors and boot lined with stuff called "dynamat" to insulate against road noises and improve the canton sound.

Secondly, the windows were tinted a few shades darker than factory option would have done.

Thirdly: A tow bar (removable).

Fourth modification: An aftermarket subwoofer + amp because the canton one couldn't put a dent in a stick of butter, as a saying in my country goes.

Fifth one: I had a block heater installed with a remote control. I can preheat the interior and engine block so I can floor it almost immediately after leaving the house and not have to de-ice in the winter.

Sorry to Hijack the thread but do you have more details on your sub install? Did you take a low pass feed from the rear speakers?

I've got the Canton too and I have to agree

I haven't done it myself, I had it done by a specialist, but I'm given to understand that it is done as you say.

They modified the installation later on to power the amp + sub on contact instead of detection of sound. Sometimes the amp would switch off and back on (or sometimes just off) because of a low volume not triggering it.

This seems to be a thing in the Canton systems so be aware of that.

Could you tell me how you fitted the block heater and the price.

I'd love the led interior lights but I've got no idea how to get the fittings apart without destoying them...

The boot betting system is nice and useful!

Again, outside job ;). It's a company vehicle so I just ordered with all the bits and bolts I wanted.
