XtremeAuto Universal Bars - Worth a punt?

Featured Replies

Personally I'd stick Thule, then you won't to worry about losing your load or killing someone.......

I've got some for my Yeti. For occassional use, they're absolutely fine. Those bars are sold under a number of brand names including M Way and Maypole, so shop around for the best price.

That's a bit over the top. The most important thing, whatever you choose, is to ensure it's fitted properly.

Hi Karl, I bought a set of these for my Octavia - I have yet to put a load on them but I am inclined to believe they will be good for the rated load. Good solid bars, fitted fine, both on the roof and in the storage compartment under the trunk floor. Great price compared to the big names.

Cheers guys - I'll give them a shot and report back.

Yep, I bought an identical set from Lidl recently - can't remember the manufacturer name on those, but believe it was Italian. I've used them to carry bikes on the roof since with no issues at all, very easy to fit.
