When did Skoda change from 140 bhp to 150 bhp my 2015 has 150 bhp according to the service sheet

Doesn't the code sticker in the spare wheel area in the boot tell you what engine code you have? Check that but I'm 99.9% certain the mk2 2.0 diesel was only 140 or 170.The 150 is the newer engine not used in the mk2.

It wouldn't be unheard of for cars late in a model run to get technology from the model replacing it, including engines. If you can report back with the engine code, it'd be useful.

VAG had a 150 version of the EA189

From Wikipedia: 110 kilowatts (150 PS; 148 bhp) @ 3,500 rpm; 320 newton metres (236 lbf·ft) @ 1,750–3,000 rpm — CRBC Audi A3Golf VIISEAT Leon

I'd say there is zero chance that they put a EA288 150 into the MK2.

I would think there are two possibilities here - being a late production car, it got a  EA 189 150PS  version of the usual EA189 140PS fitted to the MK2  OR the service sheet is wrong.

(Service sheets can be wrong - my last one said I was a Geenline - my car is a full on Irish spec Elegance. My guess is that when they plugged the car in the software decided it might be one due to it having all the economy tricks like start/stop etc. )

I would safely say you have a 140CR and the 150 is a mistake.  Easy enough to check though by decoding the sticker as mentioned and crosscheck your reg number online also.

Probably the same engine with a different mapping , they like to keep the same engines and just tinker with them

So it is a 150 bhp , 10 more than I thought, all the new ones are 150bhp or 180 are they not ????????

170ps is now 190ps :)

Erm..... At no point does the checker in the link above say anything about the car being a 150... Only that it has the ea189 engine in it.
