Diagnostic cable dilemma

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I'm new at forum, but i have i one question.

I have fabia mk1 1.4tdi 2003. And i am wondering what diagnostic cable to buy. Am i able to have long code helper and easy coding with 409.1 kkl like in 12.12 vag com?

And is my car eligible for 12.12 or not? I saw on yt video with guy using 12.12 for code scanning with his mk1 fabia.

You can use a cheap 12.12 clone cable on a mk1 Fabia, but it won't have a long coding helper.

Aha. But will there be long coding helper on 409.1? And is there anyway on 409.1 and 12.12 for me to enable windows go up and down with remote. I can do it with key in door and hold lock/unlock. With just thicking options?

It sounds like you want the benefits of VCDS without buying or borrowing a legal copy of it, if that is what you are asking about then maybe consider that asking questions about using illegal software on a public forum is not too clever.

No matter which version of VCDS you use, on a mk1 Fabia there is no long code helper like you get on the newer canbus cars.

I don't believe that remote closure can even be done with VCDS on the mk1 Fabia anyway.
