Highest mileage VRS

Featured Replies

Hi

My Fabia Vrs is currently on 284000 miles and still looks good and drives great.

How many more on here with the similar mileage or higher?

Kev

I presume that's a mk1 Fabia is it?

Impressive  :notme:

Mines is a 2013 just passed 6666

If that's a Mk2 then holy ****!

Thats my thinking!

Has a mk2 made it past 30,000 without a third engine yet?!

This one has made it to 83,000.

Thats my thinking!

I've had 2 and done over 100k in them, no issues at all.

Mines only on 34k ;)

I would like to know who has lol-lol's Mk2 vRS and how its going.  He had done just under 100,000 when he got rid.

Yes a mk1 vrs in silver on an 04 plate. It drives fine and pulls like a steam train with no smoke. How do I upload pics as I want to show what it looks like!

Realised I'm in the wrong forum

That explains it :D

Mine's only done 26k but I would like to think it can last towards 300k :notme:

So is the one i found with 83,000 the highest we have actually found then?

Are you talking Mk2 vRS.?

As i said lol-lol did near 100,000 miles. I think in under 4 years.

Others have been advertised before around that mileage, and there are Seat Ibiza Cupra Twinchargers over 100,000 miles.

but they went on sale from 2009.

Yeah, i've took this thread as mk2 from the start basically, just missing out the OP as it was clearly going to be a mk1!

i was meaning more a member on here that owns one rather than one somebody used to own or sold time ago.

You have members that had a vRS then replaced with another, and you have members that punted them at any sign of the issues that can cause lots of expense if not covered by a Warranty.

There are serious issues due to fundamental design and quality controls and component choice, and lack of action from VW, Skoda, Seat, Audi.

Issues with VW's attempts since 2010 to resolve issues but not publicaly and just with software and minor mechanical changes where fundamental design issues are with the Intakes & Manifold and OEM consumables like the spark plugs they fit and are replaced at services in Main Dealers.

But if you know that then you can use different Oil, Plugs, be sure to run Super Unleaded and then not all engines were built with substandard parts.

Mine has done around 61500 miles so far. It's been mapped for about 30,000 of those miles so hopefully the turbo will last another couple of years at least.

Just collected my 6 uear old this morning

. It was borrowed by nearest and dearest and has done 600 miles since mot last week. 61,000 miles. Scraped front bumper in an accident last night, nothing too bad. Rear tyres at wear indicators so new tyres going on later today, 2 spares in the boot and trolley jack, and then I am off to do the North Coast 500. So that will be another 1,500 miles in the next week. Off to wash her and then thrash her a bit. 20 gallons extra 99 Ron in cans so as fuel not an issue after Inverness

Pusz.

Yeah im in a close 2nd with 82k :)

Yup drives like a dream still. Due for service and that's it. :)  Dont think i'll ever get rid as the missus is having it next year :)

Mines currently done 51k 2011 plate original cave engine no mods or issues with the engine. Had the mecatronics unit in the gearbox replaced at 35k.

Any further updates to highest mileage Mk2 VRS's and any mileage related issues - mines coming up to 87k having racked up around 20k a year last few years mostly business miles. So might hit the six figures this time next year :/ Only got it 4.5 years ago with under 5k on it.

All still seems very well, touch wood. Uses a little oil but gets an oil change every 10k and run exclusively on VPower.

My head says get rid soon due to all the pricey, complex tech in the car but it is just such a great package of performance and economy, I really struggle to think what I would get instead.

Mine is on about 72000 and will hit 80000 by it's 4th birthday, I was thinking about keeping it for another year but after it was off the road for 6 weeks while the dealer eventually identified a stretched timing chain I decided it was time to change so it will go in the autumn.

Never burnt any oil though....
