Plastic in fuel tank HELP

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Really need some help. Was putting fuel injector cleaner into the tank and the small half foil/half paper round thing fell inside. Is there a way to take this out?how much should i worry? any help appreciated

Cheers

I wouldn't worry. But if you want to find it flip up the rear seat, take off the cover and unscrew the tank sender unit.

Good luck finding it, since diesel floats on water I bet it's sunk right to the bottom, it won't get through the lift pump strainer anyway so it can't do any harm, I wouldn't worry about it at all.

Forget about it but try and remember not to do it again.

Thanks mate.is there a mash or net that will hold it you think?

Yeah the pump sits in a delivery unit, it will be fine.

Cheers guys!!!

I don't think it will even make it into the tank, don't cars have an anti siphon device in the filler neck?

Yeah, it's most likely part way down the neck. Really, don't worry about it in the slightest.
