Interesting that the Furby has separate fogs, whereas on the Octy with Xenons they're in the main lamp cluster.

Good point Howard - all Octavias with fog lights have them incorporated in the headlight unit. I remember that when I was looking at the current (MkIV) Golf which has foglights incorporated in the headlight unit, if you optd for Xenons, you actually lose the fogs!

I personally prefer seperate low mounted fogs - they add a bit more interest to the front of a car - they look geat on the Fabia vRS.

John.

Trouble is with separate fogs is that they sometimes allow to55ers to drive around at night with sidelights and fogs, thinking that they look sooo cool. And they're not. They're just to55ers.

Blinding the oncoming road users. Just like those Xe....

Ahh. Hmmm.

I'll get my coat.

I've been working up to a post on that for a while now - but he's taken the wind from my sails .... Drat!!!

Followed last night along a dusky, but not foggy M4, by some to55er with Xenon headlights AND fogs (or at least damn bright fogs) ... AAAAARRRRGHHHHH!!!!!

Aaaah

So you were the chap who looked a bit fidgity in front of my illuminated xenon + fog + main beam shower of light!!! :p

Wasn't really me, but it could well be as I do often go along the M4 around Reading.

Had a mercedes c-class coupe driving towards me with full beam xenons on.

My reaction: Arggghhh! Shields eyes with hand.

Just because I'm on a bicycle doesn't make me immune to be being blinded!

Just thought I'd get that little rant in. It did upset me...and it's not the first time it's happened.

I'm glad it wasn't you, Xavier. I'm sure you don't do that really.

Just an aside for you foglight lovers (if there are any lurking out there) - it is actually an offence to use them when not appropriate. I was pulled by a Wiltshire traffic cop not long ago using that reason (my excuse was it was a dark country road and I wanted some extra light). Not good enough, said he, I could do you for a

Nice car mate.

Love the Xenons, but then I am a bit biased! :p

Its gonna be a long wait! :(
