Build time for vRS?

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone has ordered a Fabia vRS recently, and how long they expect to wait. Also, I'm in France, so would it get here faster than to the UK? I'm assuming build time would be the same, or will mine be quicker because its LHD? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Will

They usually quote 12 weeks if there isnt an identical spec'd one in stock. Mine took 11 to arrive in the UK, not sure if it would arrive in France any sooner, I guess they ship them when they have bulk load to transport

The RHD cars are built in batches - most of the production is LHD, so I think your order would be quicker than for a UK one.

Delivery to us is by rail to Rotterdam, ferry to Humberside then road transport within the UK. Not sure how continental European deliveries are made, but the journey certainly won't be slower than the journey to the UK.

I ordered it on 20th of november and I was told it should take 1 and a half month to get to Slovenia (that little country next to Italy and Austria :) ) It haven't arrived yet though.

I ordered my fabia vrs in december allowing 12 weeks for delivery on march 1st.

I rang the dealer at the weekend and he told me it was being built this week and should arrive mid february.

me either, they rule

I was told be two dealers that most Skodas are now only built to order, so they don't have any sitting in fields ! So 12 weeks is about the normal time ! You'll just have to wait!!!!

mine is on order from today. to be ready for march 01. told 8 weeks is max wait.

Not fussed if it is late i can always use public transport :P

Hi. I'm driving down to Slovenia in my friends BMW 535D Touring at the end of May to climb Mt. Triglav in the Julian Alps. Have you climbed it? !!

Not yet, but I plan to do it very soon. It's the highest mountain in Slovenia.

Took about 3/4 weeks for mine to turn up - they had it in 'stock' which I was very pleased about - I really cannot wait when I order a new car.

I must have been in the right place at the right time! (Sept 05), went to my dealers on the IOW, had a demo for half a day, said i liked it, when can i have one, ......got one in silver in stock, couple of days ok?, said sales person. Deal done!

when more options are on the car it obviously takes longer than one without.

Sorry for the wrong info. The car took 6 weeks to come from factory ordered with some extra options.
