Guys and Girls
I have for sale a RCN210 or RCD320 head unit (depends on who you speak to as to what model it is). It is brand new and I bought it thinking I could "fit" it into my MK1. It arrived today and I tested it in the car but it would take so much fettling it really isn't worth it.
It was loud though, much louder than the Symphony!
As you can see it has SD, Aux and USB as well as CD and Radio.
Only after what I paid for it hence £35.
Should fit a MK2 don't know about a Mk3 though.

Nice little radio for the price that!

Not seen many with the USB in the front.

Has this got Bluetooth?

No mate, not this one

Bump - it has been 2 days is that ok?

Nice unit, when you say fettling...what exactly does that mean?

  • Author

Oh I meant modding the dash hole and surround

Would this replace my standard pre fl mk2 head unit, think it the stream, keep any off the functions? What colour is display?

  • Author

It should replace it no problem, slide right in! The writing on the unit is white, I've got to be honest I didn't think to turn the lights on when it was in the car so can't say with certainty but I'm sure it lights up white too.

Would u or anyone know if it will keep the parking control? And climate, not worried about cd changer etc, and wouldn't need to change surround etc

I have to be honest and say I have absolutely no idea, anyone with any knowledge?

The surround should be fine though.

There is a video of the unit fitted in an Octavia MK2, hopefully that will answer some of the questions.

Thanks Mannyo

This one doesn't have the phone function though.

How much "fettling" we talking? Full dash out? I really like this head unit...

Don't know if I'm honest, certainly some cutting of the radio cage to accomodate the front of the unit, due to some high spots on the cage.

Also some messing around with the surround cover thing.

I am talking about an Octavia Mk1 I only say that as you show as having a Fabia, if that's the case I haven't got a clue.

For £35 posted you could always have a look

Tell you what, send me the dimensions of the back metal bit of the unit, I'll have a quick measurement done and we'll go from there ????

So I have added the pictures above to give you a clearer picture (scuze the pun) the metal rectangle main body will fit in the bog standard radio slot of any car. The sizes are max sizes and depending on how far you want to go you can skim the sides down!

Cheers for that, I'll have it measured with what I've got and how much I could possibly get rid of from the dash surround

Does it need a code and do you have it? If so I'll have it off you.
