This applies to both bikes, cars and cycles.

Why do people think that its acceptable to leave nails, screws, bolts and tacks laying around on the ground/road when they drop them, it makes my blood boil.

Washed the bike and the car the other day and found a screw in the rear tyre of the bike, someones inconsiderate actions with a 2p screw means a £200.00 bill for me, it makes me sick!

I agree entirely having just had a puncture from a split pin the other day resulting in a new back tyre.

Luckily my bill was less than half of yours.

Surprise potholes and the "He's waiting to pull out, and looking straight at me, but is anything going on behind the eyes?" doubt.

Hate that, for two years new tyres just 11tkm on (that season) and a big nail.

This year, new tyres just 5 weeks and 5tkm old, a large screw.

Had the same problem with pot holes and screws going through my tyres. New Mitchelin PS3's all round and within 100 miles side wall (osf) ripped due to pothole. Replacement tyre fitted and probably only another 200 miles before I swap them for the winter wheels changing the wheels on the wife's car for winters too. First day with the winters on and my wife calls me to say she has a flat and the sealant won't fix it. I come out with a wheel (summer) to swap over, checking the flat tyre and find screwdriver bit stuck in it. Managed to get it plugged and all is well.

Summer (nearly new) tyres back on and I get a puncture (osf) in the first week, black 2 inch screw through the tread and into the sidewall, another tyre written off and replaced. A month goes by and I get a puncture again. You guessed it osf with another black 2 inch screw through the tread. Tyre plugged but fails. Plugged and failed two more times before a new tyre is fitted. Touch wood, I've not had to fix a tyre since but at over £350 out of pocket due to some lazy **** more than a bit miffed.
