According to Auto Express a built in umbrella is standard  on new Fabia's SE and above ordered from 8th August.

 

My dealer tells me some are already arriving with them fitted. My Estate is due next month and as I live in Wales I 

 

have a particular interest ! Anyone got further info ?

Our new Fabia SE was ordered back at the end of May, but not built until last week so should be MY2017 and have the umbrella. We're due to collect it in the first week of September, so will let you know if we have one

Also got an umbrella in my '15 Fab. In fact two or three last seen, put in the boot.

Ordered from 8 August? I bloomin well hope that's 'built' from 8 August onwards. Otherwise I'll be having words. Not a deal breaker but things being added randomly throughout the year are a tad annoying... Mine is being built this week and is due at start of September.

Yours should be like ours, Octy09. We were told when ordering that it would be the newer model once built.

I'm guessing it will be under the passenger seat like the MY2017 Rapid.

We're getting ours 3rd week September. Being built now. Need to check for a brolly. Don't think I'll worry too much if it's not there.

There's another thread on here from about a month ago, not sure where it is, but it mentioned that all cars after a certain build week would have 'umbrella storage' instead of one of the under-seat storage boxes. So presumably that means the brolly as well - otherwise it's a bit daft to just have storage and no brolly. Won't be too worried but once you hear about these things, it sounds like a nice thing to have, ha! We shall see! Want mine to hurry up and arrive now...

yea, apparently mine was the first MY17 monte carlo estate to be built, so subsequently it was delayed getting to me

I picked up my fabia estate in mid June and the salesman pointed out a storage space under the passenger seat but said he didn't know why it didn't have the same style storage space as the drivers seat. I was pleasantly surprised to find a black umbrella in the left hand boot well The day after I got my car and even happier to find it fit perfectly under the passenger seat. It's really useful and the Bromley sleeve is waterproof so an added bonus.
