Suspension Upgrade Options

Featured Replies

Could do with a bit of advice on a suspension upgrade for my 15 plate Octavia hatch.

At the moment I want to upgrade my springs because I'm getting too much roll in the corners, and I would prefer a lower overall ride height.

I've looked at the Eibach stuff and I'm torn between Pro-kit and Sportline. From what I can tell, it doesn't seem like I'd see much of a difference with the Pro-kit, so I'm siding with Sportline.

Anyone got any advice? Or any do's and don'ts?

Thanks!

Which model of O3

That's supposed to be 16 plate by the way, so an A7?

Anyway it's a 1.4 tsi Se. Got 18" turinis on it

I had Pro Kit fitted to my O3, dropped the ride height about 35mm front 30mm rear which was on the limit of OEM dampers, I also fitted Bilstein B4 dampers at the same time, OEM equivalent but better quality, ride height was spot on imo, ride quality improved but nothing can fix the inherent harshness of the torsion beam set up, especially on 18s, mine were Golus, and this only hit home after trading in for a BMW with MSport suspension and 19" rims which rides soooo much smoother!

I might see what they can offer me as a package then, see if I can get dampers included. I know I'm limited in what I can do but I just wanna make my daily driving a bit smoother.

I bought parts from Demon Tweeks and had them fitted by an Indy, from memory, it cost me about £350 for parts delivered plus about £150 fitting including wheel alignment.

I actually got a quote from Amd tuning in Essex and they quoted 320 for Sportline supply and fit. They said it came with laser alignment as well.

I think I'm just gonna go ahead and get it done! Sounding like quite a good deal

Then again, my quote was without dampers!

H&R springs on mine and there are currently some

Koni fsd shocks on eBay at the moment. That'd be the combo for me. Had the Koni dad's on an Abarth and they were amazing. Supple but stiff when you put them under load
