Side mirrors settings

Featured Replies

Hi,

my cousin has an audi a4, so ...

his side mirrors have an option that they fold when car is locked and are unfold only when key is in, not when car is unlocked ...is it possible to do with vcds with us ?

It certainly is - I prefer the unfolding with ignition power though as there's times when you just want to access the car without actually driving it.

If the mirrors are folded I know that the car is locked - quite useful if you're a bit absent minded!

However it is possible to have the doors locked with the mirrors unfolded!

Do you have a link the adaptation channels and/or coding that needs to be changed?

How?

How?

Its a setting for it in the infotainment if I remember correctly.

Of course! - thanks.

I'm not sure but I may have answered a bit prematurely earlier - either that or I was wearing some milk bottle specs!

For some reason I didn't notice it was to do with the O3 but the principle could well be the same as the previous gen cars. The normally non auto folding mirrors can be made (VCDS) to fold from the key fob with a 'long press' of the lock button and either reopened by either unlocking the car or turning the ignition on. Apologies for any confusion.
