You are lucky, most car main dealer's parts department are only open until 12:00 on Saturday.  I think the VAG ordering system closes orders by 16:00 or so - for delivery next day if VOR or workshop request, and the day after for counter orders to Joe Public. Being an (English) bank holiday weekend might have slowed things down.
