Motorcycle Hit VW at 155 MPH, When you mix speed, bike, and VW

Featured Replies

Rear tyre of the bike is new and has no wear at all from what I can see. If a motorcycle hit that car at the stated speed, then the rider would have flown for miles and could not have ended up in the car.

The facts as written are false, therefore as written its a fake.

YOUCH, thats got to hurt, though i doubt they felt much.

the golf might T-cut tho.

I'am pretty sure that bike is a VFR750R (RC30) which is more than able to do 155mph.

I don't think this is a mock up either look at the split in the sill where the front end hit.

I am certain that this is just a staged display as I have seen it before.

The bike is an NC30 400cc Honda' date=' so would get NOWHERE near 155MPH.

That said, the Baron is right, does not matter what your in / on, at those kind of speeds your in the hands of the big fella upstairs, I think a while back Top Gear where running cars into concrete blocks @ 70mph and it's doubtful that a driver would have survived.

Many years ago, I had a bad one, resulting in all sorts of nasties (coma and lot of surgery etc etc to patch me up, courtesy of the German health system) but I still enjoy my bikes, and get out on them whenever I can.

Staged or not, images like that can bring your mortality home to you.

Fluff'[/quote']

cant see if its an RC or NC30. only way to tell is the width of the back tyre, which is difficult given the carnage.

had a bike smash a few years back, did'nt put me off just encouraged me to buy a minimoto and frequent go kart tracks! all the giggles without the pain.

And the back wheel is not standard for either an NC or an RC, as the one in the pic is a 3 spoke. Can't see anyone defiling an RC with a 3 spoke, they would have put a VFR750 / 800 wheel on to get 17" and the same spoke pattern.....

I've been on the back of a ThunderAce at 155mph. Impressive ride :) Allegedly.
