Featured Replies

Hi all,

Well on friday I said goodbye to my furby with a little tear in my eye but said a much happier hello to my new car, Bora Highline PD130. Here's a few pics:D

Very nice that :)

Like the wheels too!

v nice. Look even better with the S3 wheels on it ;)

nice car...

If you dont mind me asking gayle what kind of mileage/price range is the car in? Looks stunning BTW. Never liked the bora but recently its started to grow on oneself.

Alex

Hi Alex, the car has 6400miles on the clock, its only 6-9months old. bought the car for £12995 :)

Lovely car that. Nice in black, and the wheels suit it nicely. Hope you enjoy it.

You used to have a Fabia VRS? How does the Bora compare with the same 130PD engine?

Yip I did, doesn't seem much in it to be fair, the bora does feel smoother and a lot quieter from inside. More than happy with it so far:)

Cool. Just eben lookign at insurance etc for one....very tempted.

Watch the clutch. It eats them

was pleasantly surprised as the Bora is cheaper to insure  and there is very little difference in performace too :D

I've been looking at the Seat Toledo Sport the with 150PD engine... it seems to be a lot of car for the money when looking at say a 2 year old model.

Always liked the look of the toledo, my boss loved hers when she had it, nice looking car:)

Hi Gayle

Do they come with the trees already sprouting, or do you have to plant them yourself?

Looks great :)

Best

Mo

I have always liked the look of the Bora. Nice choice! :D

Looks good! That's the first Highline I've seen - the Monty IIs really suit it. No icky wood trim either - I always liked the titanium effect stuff.

I traded the other way - no regrets tho!

Nice car Gayle. Like the interior too. Very clean. Needs bigger wheels though.

Well somebody had to say it!

True but then I will need to lower it too so it doesn't look like a tractor, I like it the way it is for the mo but who knows what the future holds;)

It is a nice car though Gayle. Health to enjoy.

It doesn't need bigger wheels, it just needs lowering a fraction. Then oit will be a bad mofo.

Ah, maybe that's it. Just first impressions

The 'Sport' version has a lower suspension setup than the SE (Highline is based on this) IMO (Cos I used to own one) the Bora is 'past its sell by date' now and has been bettered by the new one. However it represents great value for money and is a very very comfortable car. My 2.0 Sport was plush BUT it drank fuel (19mpg around town). One to watch out for is the hydaulic clutch. Mine was on its second and it needed a new one when I sold it, in only 6000 miles !!! Never had a clutch problem before. A pal of mine has had 4 on his !! But he has done 120,000 miles in it!

how much is shared with the mk1 Octavia?

those front and rear doors look very familiar

I'll keep an eye on that thanks for the advice:)
