Mo,

Sadly thats a Scottish winter...real shame we are warming up as the Scottish ski industry will be really hurting soon.

A few places, Fort William, aviemore etc the cable cars are open for quite a bit of the season. The valley could be devoid of snow, but the likes of Annoch mor etc catch a bit, enough to at least claim to be skiing conditions. They look like the ones at Fort William, but the background does not fit, nor does the platform from what I recall of my last trip :)

Worth a trip up to these parts if you've never been before, just pack the how to overtake caravans on the barking zone handbook and you'll carve through traffic.

Nice pic's...I sooooooooo want to live up north...but Skye really, well there or anywhere north of Oban...umm the road to oban :D

Thanx Colin, the pic of the ski lift was taken from the restaurant on annoch mor, (thats the start of the downhill track you can see behind the ski lift.) during the downhill mountain biking world cup, last september.

We go up every year, its a great laugh.

glad you like it, got it on e-bay, it actually helps keep the back window clean....

Never been farther North than Aberdeen - and went by plane :o

'Twas in winter so was glad to get back down to London (about 10 degrees warmer) :D They used to hold cycling rallies in Crystal Palace Park annually some years ago - no cable cars though LOL. They have a good one (cable car) in Barcelona - it's nice and warm there ;)

Best

The cable car up there is great, you just hang the bike on the back and jump in, all the fun with none of the pushing up the hill drawbacks...
