voive command. ~~~ "select track" - loading "traffic information"

Anyone else find that using the voice command for media.(sd card) that the system interprets the command as traffic information more often than not .

Even in my really posh yorkshire voice it does it more often than not but then works maybe on the second or third try !

On a postive... I got my London mate in his finest queens speech to try it when he was in the car at the weekend and the answer from the car was " source cd not available!!"

Sometimes it works flawless and sometimes it's a bit naff to say the lease..

In my MK2 FL with older Columbus the voice command is a bit hit and miss - more miss than hit. Sometimes it comes back with 'Pardon' if it doesn't understand what you've just said. At other times I'm trying to carry out navigation commands and it changes the radio channel or something completely unrelated to what I asked.

Generally I don't use voice commands for anything except the phone system which it seems to do quite well.

My overall view of the voice command is 'Simply not clever'. Great in theory but not so good in practice unfortunately.

Try 'Eleven' in a Scottish accent and see if it plays nicely? There a comedy sketch (in a lift) on u-tube if anyone is puzzled.

Yours may be puzzled by your use of 'Voive'....... ;-)

Voice ... stupid phone... it was not user error i promise.

Dont use voice command, quicker and more accurate doing it manually.

I agree for most of the functions, but for selecting a certain music track from the vast amount of music i have on an SD card while driving i find it a lot easier.

Agreed definitely more miss than hit, although mine did improve when I realised I was speaking too early i.e hit the voice control and wait for the mic icon on the display before speaking.

I gave up as soon as I read the 20 page BMW 'User Commands' list. Manually works just fine.....it's what passengers are for ;-)
