Felicia Spark Plugs

Featured Replies

Hi guys just checking I have a 1998 Felicia 1.3 MPI in STD trim purchased new in Dec 1998  some 18 years ago.

Can any one tell me the correct plugs now I have been running with NGK BKR6EIX (IRIDIUM) For some 29,000 miles and read some where on this forum I should be using NGK BKUR5ET10 so I have replaced the IRIDIUM for the BKUR5ET10 Please can someone reassure me these plugs are OK.

I know from my motorcycling that NGK use a number to identify the heat range of the plugs the IRIDIUM are 6 and the ones I put in are 5.

The IRIDIUM plugs I took out looked very good car never fails to start and runs perfect with them it's just I felt it was time to change them.

I don't know the correct NGK (or anyone else) spec for plugs, but I do know that the advantage of iridium plugs in a "cooking" engine is simply longer life!

Ken is right, a generic advertised feature of iridium spark plugs is bigger longevity. For me, moneywise, in real life that is hot air.

As for NGK code, see here.

Thanks Ricardo I will stay with the NGK BKUR5ET10 I have put in for now if I can still get 150 mph out of my Felicia I will be happy. :D
