virtual peddle pedal

Featured Replies

The virtual peddle - is this on the boot where you wave your foot under the car and the 5th door opens? How does this work?

I have been to 5 different Skoda dealers, however, none of them got this right.

Does anyone here got this on their estate?

May you explain how to do this correct, please?

A single kick action under the centre rear (mind your shin), step back, wait a second, say Open Sesame.

Waving your foot around doesn't work well if at all. It also needs to be enabled in the infotainment.

Make sure you have the key with you or in the car

Just poke your leg under the centre of the car, once and once only.

Wait a couple of seconds (this is the bit where I think it all goes wrong! it does not open immediatley and people poke there leg under again which will turn the system off.) you will see the centre brake light come on and the tailgate will open.

Yup, as above. Kick forward once, not side to side. Wait half a second. Beep, open, yay.

Thank you all.

I will try this when my car arrives.

Agree with the above but make sure you learn how to do it away from the crowds. You can get some very funny looks if you stand there kicking the back of the car in public  :D

Once you have it mastered then it works 99% of the time. It usually doesn't play ball when you have 4 bags of lord knows what in your hands; I swear it knows   ;)

I don’t even stand in the middle of the car... walk down the drivers side and ‘do the kick’ from the O/S/R taillight (so at a 45° angle) and it has only failed to open about 3 times in 10 months... I open it this way at least twice a day.

After reading a million post on how to do it, it worked from the first time I tried. The trick is indeed to kick and wait half a second.

Does yours work good if the car is unlocked? Mine works 10/10 if the car is lockd and i have the key in my pocket, but if the car is unlocked it works 1/10 or 0/10

1year after delivery i realise that the trick is to have the key in mynpocket....Then it works locked/unlocked :)
