Control system for exhaust

Featured Replies

Hi everybody, I have a 2009 1.4 Fabia with 14,000 miles on the clock, serviced from new, but today the engine warning light came on whilst driving and has stayed on ever since. The handbook says "a fault exists in an exhaust relevant component" and that I should drive it carefully and gently to my nearest specialist garage. Could this just be a sensor or is it something more serious and expensive?

You really need to have the car scanned for fault codes, this will give you more idea of where the fault lies. Maybe someone near you with a code reader or VCDS could scan for you.

Thanx for that, going to book it in on Monday. I had a Rover Streetwise before this, with similar annoying problems, I thought those days were behind me :(
