Columbus Sat Nav Route Options

Featured Replies

My Columbus sat nav seems to be obsessed with trying to guide me down single lane country roads, presumably thinking it is the faster route, when in reality some of the roads it takes me down are barely passable and you're limited to about 10mph!!

Is there a way in the settings / route options to avoid small single lane roads? Looking at the options and the user manual it there appear to 3 options - economical / shortest / fastest.

All of them still appear to favour single lane roads!!

Any advice?

Having just taken delivery of my Octavia (nearly one week) like you I am trying to find my way around features, including Columbus. It appears to provide three alternative routes each time with duration and symbols representing the three alternatives you mention. I haven't yet identified what they mean, other than the tree like symbol I presume means country or scenic route (and possibly the longest) but like you I have questioned some of the roads it has taken me over. Sorry I can't be of any help but I look forward to seeing the information others on here will provide to solve your (our) query.
