Keys in ignition - it auto locked  ... my mobile was also in the car so I had to beg someone to let me use theirs  ---

cost me a few hudred quid

still no way to turn off autolocking? 

 

some people mention microswitches and it can't happen ...

 

it happens ... it's a fault, a serious fault ... but VAG won't admit it.

 

 

my solution  ... key cut ... hidden somewhere under ...

 

so the next time it locks me out ...

I just always have the 2nd key to any vehicle i am using in the Reading Glasses case i always have in my pocket.

Just a habit from previous experiences of someone asking for the key to go into cars and then locking the key in.
